Recovery is conditional. Usable yield, finished dimensions, material quality, and timing cannot be confirmed from the service name alone. Keep affected material identified until an appropriate quality decision is made.
Send a condition record and a usable-output target
Include photos of the whole roll, close views of the damage, the core, and the label. Provide the grade, width, diameter, weight, quantity, and current location. Note any known exposure that could affect material suitability.
Specify the minimum usable width or format and the downstream acceptance criteria. Rework that leaves a narrower roll may be suitable for one application and unusable for another. Ask what requires physical inspection before shipping.
