Paper Slitting and Rewinding Services

Custom roll widths and rewinding for paper, paperboard, film, and nonwovens. Send your roll specifications for review at Bengal in Pennsylvania.

Match incoming rolls to the line that needs them

Bengal slits and rewinds compatible paper, board, film, PVC, and woven or nonwoven material into an agreed finished-roll format. Describe the material you have and the width, core, diameter, or length your receiving line requires.

Slitting changes web width; rewinding changes the roll configuration. A job can combine both. If the current roll already has the correct width but needs a different core or finished diameter, explain that in the request.

Check the full rewinder specification

Bengal operates five rewinders. The published matrix lists parent widths from 66 to 143 inches across different machines, with different unwind diameters, output diameters, and slitter-head limits. The widest machine is not automatically the right choice for every job.

Send incoming roll width, diameter, core size, and weight along with the material grade. For output, specify each slit width, quantity, tolerance, core requirement, winding direction, and any splice restriction.

Protect the details that affect downstream use

Tell the team about a coated, printed, treated, or sensitive side. Confirm how the finished roll must unwind and which edge or orientation matters to your process. Agree label information and lot identification before production.

For a new substrate, ask whether a sample or trial is appropriate. Material behavior, roll build, and downstream performance should be reviewed rather than inferred from width alone.

Request a roll converting quote

Include volume, when stock is available, the required delivery date, and packaging requirements. If several widths are needed, list the quantity for each so the proposed slit pattern can be reviewed.

Optional warehousing and scheduled releases can follow the converting work. Start by confirming usable finished rolls, then plan inventory and delivery.

FAQ
Can Bengal handle rolls up to 143 inches wide?

One rewinder lists a maximum parent width of 143 inches. Material, diameter, core, output, and setup requirements still need review; width alone does not confirm compatibility.

Can I request a new core size?

Yes. Provide incoming and required core inside diameters, material details, and finished-roll requirements. The team will confirm fit and available options.
